For the snow you should check out some of the textured spray paints out there ( craft store ... home depot, crappy tire )
You could use a white flat base with little bit sparkly ..and I have seen a spray paint to create a frosted Glass ..That maybe cool as a clear coat....
Think about using melted wax as a base to look like water
thanks for the tip man, i was wondering about that kind of stuff and it would make a great effect cause the plain white acrylic just isn't quite cutting it. i'll try to get over to home depot tomorrow since there is one not too far away for me.
i remembered that drool effect you had on your monster and thought the glue thing would work but wax would be even easier to find.
